    ballast

I have a 1995 open bow nautique and would like some info on ballast bags. we are just loving wakesurfing and need some help with making bigger wave. I'm not real interested in taking up a lot of room with ballast bags. do i need to get a new boat?

If you want a decent wave without ballast bags then yes.

If you're planning to spend more time wakesurfing than skiing and don't want a bunch of ballast bags in your 95 Ski Nautique, I would agree you need a newer boat. That boat is limited in general to the wave it can put out but to improve what it can do will just take a lot of weight.

I have a decent amount of ballast but the wake shaper made the most difference.
