White upholstry a mistake w/kids and dog?

Just put a deposit down on a 210 (or possibly change to GS20)...need to finalize interior selections.

My first boat in a long time...lots of kids and a few dogs.

Wondering if white upolstry will be a constant stuggle to keep clean....and stay clean for many, many years to come.

Appreciate any feedback as I need to pull the trigger on this in the next day or two.

Much appreciate your guidance on this (and be 210 vs. GS20).

When we bought ours we originally went with a boat with a grey interior but changed it to one that was white. After 2 seasons and 130 hrs it still looks like it did when it came out of the showroom. We normally don't have a ton of kids but our dog is always out with us. I am OCD when it comes to cleaning though - it's wiped down just about every weekend of use. My last boat had a grey interior and it looked far worse when I got when it was 3 years old. IMO, regular cleaning is more important that color.

any thing but white needs a towel down for the temp created by the sun. even a colored topside of the boat hull will burn your arm here in ky during the summer. big fan of white topside and white vinyl with minimal color.

I would agree with Jeb1974. Regular cleaning is what's important. I have a 2005 210 with white interior. IMO it still looks VERY clean and white. Let us know what you decide between the 210 or the GS20. I am very tempted to buy a new one at the boat show if the deal is right.

Go with white. You have to clean the vinyl just like any color. I'm two season in and it still looks new. We ride with lots of kids every weekend. Dogs never ride in the boat.

Go with white. Significantly easier to keep clean. Water spots don't show. I have 3 kids and 3 nephews....towel off the vinyl at the end of each weekend and it looks good as new. 303 makes a great cleaner and protectant.

In addition to further feedback on the white interior I'd be interested in you're experience with dogs (claws) and the upholstery....any concerns?

CC uses absolute top-quality vinyl for their interiors, so it's built to take the abuse. White won't be any harder to keep clean than any other color. you can also get Soft Paws for your dogs, to help prevent scrapes and punctures.

We have grey. As I've stated before I can't tell the difference in temperature . Both white and grey clean easy.

It probably depends on the size of the dog. Ours is only 28 lbs and we've never had any issues. He does like to scratch every once in a while - we watch him most of the time but the couple times he's done it we haven't got any marks.

I'll go along with the rest of the crew here, white is simple to keep clean. My dog weighs over 70lbs, no issues so far. Most of the time we have four kids in the boat, other than having to constantly remind them to pick up their snack wrappers, all is good!
