Water getting in bilge by way of rear lift ring

When we are out surfing and then stop the boat, we sometime have water wash up on the rear lift ring. See attached pic. The water doesn't wash all the way up in the boat just up to that spot where the lifting ring is. The water then will leaks into the bilge. Does anyone else have this problem? What have you done to fix it?

2015 Should be under warranty if you bought new, let the dealer fix it!
If not, I would remove the ring and any associated trim, remove any old sealant, clean up and then apply a new bead of 3M 4200 sealant as necessary.

Are you sure it's coming in through that ring and not the vent above? I suppose you could get a leak through the ring location, but I would think it would be a tiny amount and you'd never notice. Far more likely it's coming through that vent. My brothers boat gets water coming in that way.

Does it come in when surfing either side or just one side? I would check the transom rub rail corners as well.

the lift ring is recessed. You pull it up when you need to use it and it is not sealed. you can take a cup of water and cup of water and pour it on that area and it goes straight into the bilge. Its not alot at all. Just annoying and wondered if others had noticed. and if so, what they did to stop it

Honestly, just ignore it. You're trailering the boat so you have ample opportunity to get water out of the bilge on the way home. Just leave the plugs out driving home.

If you never lift it, you could get a piece of seadek to cover it if it is bothering you.

I made a machined billet cap for mine that has a o-ring on it.

my 210 was same as yours.

That's neat but it looks like a real toe stubber or tripping hazard after a couple of cold ones.

Are boat is a coastal edition , so I did not want any salt water inside.

it does not stick up enough to stub a toe or even notice.
