G23 Surf side switch -- warning?

Is there a way to have our 2017 G23 give a warning to the rider before I switch surf sides for them?

Our Malibu would do a countdown, flash lights and also make a sound I believe. I have noticed on the G it's pretty instantaneous, but it would be nice if there was some warning to the Surfer.

I guess we could use the switch and at least the rider would be in control of it.

On my 210 the driver uses a hand signal at the moment the button is pushed.

No factory option for this, other than using the surf select switch or the Pebble Watch. The Pebble Watch can give a five-second countdown with vibrations that the rider will feel.

Funny, I have two kids (teenagers) that like the surprise of not knowing when the switch is coming. I only surprise the when they get lazy and they are just sitting there cruising and burning fuel.

LOL, LOL, LOL,....on the SV211 it's quite simple. ..ease up on the throttle the kid jumps on the swim platform. ..we stop the boat, switch the suck gate sides and go again

would be nice if some tech guru would come up with after market for older models G's , the wrist changer,or positive light signal for surf side changes,,it always takes about three times before driver and rider get their signals right,, then we change riders and it starts all over again... but what the heck its all fun !!!

My riders tell me when they want me to switch sides. It's a one button push and the wave transfers. No need for for horns and LED lights to enjoy the sport.

I actually had the NSS actuators wired into led lights inside of both transom grills so when the switch surf button was pressed the led lights would flash to let the rider know the button was officially pushed. It can be clunky with hand signals so this worked out pretty well in case someone fumbled the switch button!! Pretty simple to do.

That sounds pretty cool. Which LED lights did you use? Can you see them in the bright daylight?

I just use hand signals. That has not been a problem for me.

As a rider, if you watch the flow of water across the NSS, you can see it start to change and make your move. I am one of the few people who actually liked the slower transfer of the 2015 because I could see it coming a bit slower and make my move. I was getting very good at transferring on the 2015, and I struggle a little with the 2016 because the timing is different.

The guy who did it for me bought a strip of blue led's for both sides... not sure exactly what they were but I would think any would work just fine. Yes you could see them easily during the day in the sun. This was on my 14 G23. It was more for me as my drivers were either a guest or my wife... they would all usually fumble around once I gave them the switch signal so this was a marriage saver as my wife said I was yelling at her when she couldn't find the switch surf button.... I would always say I had to raise my voice over the engine noise.... hence the led lights were quickly installed!!
