    '17 Boat Show Pics

    From Denver 1/6 - 1/8

GS22 layout, functionality, massive storage, transom seats, crossover promise looking good. While I'm a Seadek Fauxteak fan, there is so much of it in this boat feels like sitting in pencil eraser. Really want to see this in action from slalom to surf.

GS20, big things in a little package

    OG. Brown is in.

Thanks for the pics! That GS20 looks great but the brown interior on the green GS22 is absolutely awful!

The gs22 reminds me of the family truckster. It's so ugly I kinda like it.

Oh that brown is just hideous.

Anyway, I'm very curious about the transom seats in the GS22. One of my neighbors has a Mastercraft and it has those seats. They're utterly useless. Even the kids don't bother with them.

Even with the Rambo colors and turd brown interior, the GS22 showed great bones. I gotta see more traditional blue/grey/white and have a water sports outing to pass final judgement.

Transom seats attract bikinis, beers, and additional human ballast for tsunami surf sessions (flame away).

I see some resale issues with some of those colors. That brown is flat out awful.

I think the brown metal flake on the exterior of the G actually looks pretty good, but it needs white accent colors instead of black. I personally wouldn't buy it for fear that I couldn't sell it in 5 years though. Now the brown vinyl interior is horrible. It reminds me of boats back in the mid to late 70s. Its a pure fad and will fall completely out of favor in just a few years.

Some fads need not be recycled. Boats and cars (for that matter) from the 50s and 60s had great styling and classic appeal. Very few vehicles from the mid to late 70s have colors or styling worth repeating. Wait that also applies to the 80s as well.

No flaming, but you should check your local regulations. I know in N.C., it is illegal to have someone sit there with the boat moving. I know because I was on the boat when my buddy got a ticket. Someone was sitting on the back with their feet on the platform coaching a new wakessurfer.

Those seats are illegal to be in underway everywhere as far as I know. You're asking for a ticket if you have anyone sitting in one while underway. They're just for lounging when anchored. Personally, I'd use them frequently, as I sit on the rear deck all the time when the kids are swimming when anchored.

Those colors definitely leave a lot to be desired, but the GS20 and 22 are very intriguing for me (in about 10 years when I can afford it....), as we do pretty much every sport on our boat. If they're footable, that would seal the deal.

Agreed on the hideous brown interior. Despite those who are confident that dark interiors defy the laws of thermophysics (I just made that word up), the sun would make that turd brown scorching in these here parts.

I love the purple! Probably would not buy it, but love it nonetheless.
