I hadn't thought about it before, but you guys are starting to scare me about the new white vinyl interior. I just ordered a boat with white vinyl and really didn't even consider anything else because I like white and because it doesn't get as hot, but now I'm questioning my decision. One thing is for sure, I won't getting brown interior and I won't be getting a really dark color either. The navy blue accents on my current boat get so incredibly hot in the summer that I can't imagine having the majority of the seats in a dark color. It literally gets so hot that I think you could possibly get a 1st burn from it.

Still debating if the Vancouver boat show will happen with my busy schedule next week. If it does I'll try to take some pics. Although wizard lake is good at putting all the pictures on their website.

Wild colors and brown interiors!!
its going to be like how we see the 80s Miami Vice colored Jet Skis in a few years!
Anyone wanna start an upholstery and vinyl wrap business? It's going to be what we call in the Army call a "target rich environment" in a few years.2019 G23 450

My Mocha Seadek gets quite a bit hotter than my vinyl does.
From a physics standpoint...white is a reflection of almost all wavelengths of light...black is an absorption of all those wavelengths. Gray is an absorption of most wavelengths of light and I find it impossible to think it is not hotter than white. Do your own little experiment...take those tiny little swatches of vinyl that your dealer has and put them outside in the sun and see which one feels warm quicker. Even in winter, I think you will be able to tell.

The white on mine has some texture to it, which hides some dirt, so it is not as bad as the white on my old Tige. And the boating environment is usually flush with water and towels, so it is a non-issue for me, since any dirt wipes right off. When I touch those accents, I am grateful every day that I chose an almost all white interior.

Evening Shade, the boat that Jeff posted has the Frost Grey interior with Mystic White accents, you can see the difference especially on the observers seat and the right sun pad, in person the white is super white and the grey is almost like a silvery white. I agree with you about the dark colors, my boat currently has the light grey seat bottoms, white accents and black striping, with a large black strip on the sun pad - the black stripe on the sun pad gets to the point that it will burn my hand during summer months. Dark colors may work well in the north but in the south I want my interior as light as possible.Last edited by MikeC; 01-15-2017, 09:24 AM.

I think here in the north it might be helpful to have a darker color to purposely capture some of the heat, especially for spring and fall riding...and to me the brown looks fine. However, i do question the black accents, even for the north, as during summer months they might get too hot here too.
i do think it kind of depends how you use your boat. if your boat is in sun all day, versus if the boat is under the lift cover except when you use it. and if you tend to keep the bimini up all season or just in summer months. what i have been doing last few years - because i want the extra warmth from the sun is only putting the bimini on in june, july, and august. all other months we ride - and we ride a long season - march, april, may, and sept, october, we don't have the bimini on. in those months i think the brown would be very helpful to capture the heat. kind of like a free "heated seat". lol.

Vancouver boat show had some nice boats! The two G's weren't brown and they were really good looking!
Don't forget about the wt1 wake tractor!

I was at Barrett-Jackson this weekend and was happy to see Nautique and Matercraft with displays. The boats were swamped with people so I wasn't able to get pictures. First time I've been able to see the GS20. Wish the new GS22 had been there. The new board racks look good.
