Scottb7 brings up a good point. IMO, the warranty is a great selling tool/piece of mind for the second buyer. Hopefully it is an easy process. From this thread it is not as easy as I had thought or at least there are multiple steps I was unaware. Keep it simple or it could potentially loose its value.
I totally agree with scottb7. The price for these boats new/used is outrageous to begin with then to discover that you have to buy the existing warranty really hurts! I felt like I sold my soul to pay what I did for the boat then the insurance, taxes, warranty re-purchase, re-working my pier & and lift to hold the boat, ........sorry for the rant.......ok I will go back to work now.
One more word on this subject. You MUST pay for the engine and boat warranty ASAP. I just assumed that I had a little time to do so, only to find out that I barely made the deadline!!! Can you imagine owning a $150,000 dollar boat with zero warranty because you failed to send in the money within(**if I recall 30 days). My dealer saved me on this because I drug my feet over being a little angry over the situation & $$ amount, MarineMax called me and said "you do realize there is a strict deadline!"
