Nautique has a 500 hour limit and is more expensive to transfer. It also used to not be bumper to bumber with 3 years on electronics. I believe that has changed but not sure. If you transfer it becomes much more limited.

He is not giving up the details, it appears. I mentioned Supra, but now that I think about it, if surfing were my main interest, the Centurion Ri237 has been getting a lot of love on the forums lately. Especially if I had a house on the lake and storage space were not a big deal.

When I sold my Malibu I simply told the new buyer that they would have to pay for the warranty transfer and It was not a big deal. I hear you about the 500 hour limit but I would venture to say that a small percentage of people put more than 500 hours on a boat in a five year period. We live on the water and have 221 hours on our boat after two seasons.

How long did it take Nautique to advise you of the warranty transfer from the time you sent it in ?

Make sure you don’t inadvertently overlook including the sales receipt with the paperwork or they won’t honor the warranty. Ask me how I know...

I don’t know that I ever got a confirmation. Maybe I did but just don’t remember since it was three years ago. I do remember getting a warranty card from PCM for the motor

I am going through the warranty transfer on a 2016 G23 right now and can tell you that the cost is $550 for engine/parts plus $300 for hull. Prior to 2016, you would have to pay $300 for hull + $300 for parts + $200 to PCM for the engine.

So $850 total? Is labor included in this total or is labor not covered at all in a transfer?

Nautique told me that 2016 and up includes labor and parts for $550. I don't know what is included for $300 for the hull.

2019 Nautiques have a 1,000 hour warranty transfer period.
5 year base warranty and motor.
                          3 year gel.

Nautique has the best warranty in the industry and has for a few years. Malibu is smoke and mirrors because any component that is covered by a 3rd party, like the big touchscreen, is not covered by Malibus 5 year warranty. At least that is my understanding when reading their lawyer-speak owners manual.

MC also claims to have the best, yet their gel is only covered for a year. Although you can now get 7 years on the 6000 and 7000 - not sure if a fee is involved or not.

If I'm incorrect on any of these statements, please let me know...

It should transfer without cost IMO like an automobile does under manufacturers warranty.

I would like to agree to that but the reality is there is a wide variety of care given to these boats. From salt water use, neglect, indifference with dealer support, and finally to total anal retentiveness. It’s all over the board. The warranty transfer fee helps cover this wide variety. Plus 1000 hours is a long time. Abused cars within the warranty period are more outliers and so the ability to offer a no cost warranty transfer is there and the economics still work.
