    Aftermarket heater in G series

Has anyone installed an aftermarket heater in their G? If so what brand, where did you put the vents, etc.

    Asking for a friend....

I have, in both of my Gs. The factory setup is terrible IMO. I went with the heatercraft elite 360, with a circulation pump. I installed both hot tubes by the helm/starboard lounge lean back seat. 1 of the 2" vents in helm dash, and 1 of them in port dash area for defogging. 1-2" by the drivers feet, and the last 2" blows up under the front lower area of the helm seat (so if driver has a towel, it will fill with hot air from the bottom).

This setup works excellent, and heat output is probably 4x the factory system. (Much larger heater core, and circulation pump make a huge difference).

I supplied the heater and White Lake Marine installed it in the factory location. I purchased a Heatercraft 300 Pro a couple years back in a group buy, but never installed in my Malibu. Very pleased, with closed cooling output is good without a circulation pump. I like Waywards ideas too, lots of options with all the space in a G.
