What scares me is those pics of boats that are sunk because they left them in the water. If you were gone and had a small leak it could be catastrophic. Just my 2 cents

I'll let you know how mine goes... just bought it. I've previously had a 2004 Centurion at the dock from April-October (thank you Southern California) and it did well. I had the typical scum on the bottom.. but nothing a rag, beer, and elbow great couldn't take care of.

I do have a small leak in the pictured Ski Nautique... so I won't be leaving it in the water until I track it down and get it fixed.

Take a look at the prop shaft seal. Or muffler tubes. I'd start looking there.

        What lake is that?

          Thanks.. I check those out.

This is Spring Valley Lake, a private ski lake in between Victorville and Apple Valley.

Oh my, your 91' has wood stringers and you really don't want that much water in your bilge, I would be addressing your leak before continuing to use that boat. Should not be hard to find where the water is coming in, as DW mentioned, your shaft packing and exhaust should be checked as well as your raw water intake/lines. If water is coming in while underway only then there could be issues at the deck seam behind the rub rail that need to be found and resealed.

That glassy water looks awesome btw

I left the at home a coupe hours ago with the battery turned off to disengage the bilge. I'm headed home to check out how much water has come in over 3 hours. My wife is keeping a careful eye on it.. as the boat is docked in our back yard. I won't keep it on the water until I track down the leak. Thanks for the heads up on places to start searching for the leak. The bottom of the boat is perfect.. no scratches or chips.

Checked the boat during lunch.. had about 3 gallons of water. Bilge ran for about a 90 seconds. I am going to pull it out of the water.. and add some water to check for drips. Packing and impeller will be replaced this weekend.

On your way to the trailer bring a driver along, Run about 10mph with doghouse open and look over all your water lines and really scan the entire motor for any water leaks and then close dog house and open the round inspection cover on the floor directly behind dog house, that is your shaft packing, no more then a slight drip is what u are looking for. Rudder packing is another place to check for leaks on the trailer with water in bilge. If any water lines are leaking at near hose clamps tighten with a nut driver not a screw driver.

Saw your pic on your other tread and was about to write that this looks oddly deep in the water to me... Like the others have said, look at the seals and hoses, maybe the muffler has a small crack? Otherwise welcome to our addicts' support group! ;-)
