are platforms on '05 SANTE's removable

Might be getting a new '05 SAN and was wondering if the swim platform is removable as it comes from the factory or if you have to buy a conversion kit. The new house we are moving into only has a 21' garage and I have figured that I can get it in there at an angle with the platform off.

I would have to say yes, my 02 is, it's cake to take off, 2 pins and pull it right up.

      RE: are platforms on

I've never stumbled across a Nautique with a non removable platform. Anything from a 70's Ski Nautique- a 2006 220 has a removable platform.
      How about \"Chales\"?

My 1988 didn't have a removable platform. All newer Nautiques have them though.

SGY, that's interesting my neighbors '76 Ski had one.

So the swim platform bracket was just bolted into the transom?

I have a 22' garage and my 05 sante will fit straight in with about 8" to spare.Thats on a ramlin with a swingaway tongue.Could do it in a 21' straight if it wasn't for the pitot tubes.

This new one doesn't have a swing away tongue so I think that I have to do it diagonally.

I believe that the removeable platform (from the factory) was added on boats starting in 1990.

some have updated their older boats with the newer style removable brackets but from the factory they where bolted on until 1990 when it was changed to the removable version.

Just be carefull removing the platform. i scratched my transom removing it to redo the teak. I had to have it fixed since i could not stand seeing the scratch everytime I got back in the boat.

If I was removing the platform reguarly, I would install a protective film over the area that can be scratched.
