Looks like this boat came from the factory without the NSS system. Then at a later date the owner/dealership added it on with nautique parts. I could totally be incorrect here, so someone may jump in and say otherwise, but that would be my guess.
I think that answers my question. Just to clarify, yours is from factory but doesn't have the cap that make it look all pretty? It looks raw like this one?
Some of the early 210/230 NSS systems did not have covers. This one is likely an early factory installation, or an installation by a dealer after the fact.
Some people had the plates painted or powder coated to match the hull, which made it look much better.
Here's an example:
I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. We specializes in Nautiques and Correct Crafts, and also provide general service for Nautiques fifteen years old and older.

So, if I add NSS to a 2013 this spring...will it look like the first pictures or more like the new ones with the covers?
It will not have the covers and will look just like the pic above. The covers will not fit on a 2013 and older 210 because of the swim platform location. They changed this when the hull was tweaked in 14. I just went through this last summer. When it's all said and done, they still look pretty good without the covers and look like they are supposed to be there as opposed to an aftermarket system or something else. The finish is the same on the NSS the hydrogate and FAE surf pipe anyways.

Than you! That's what I figured. Regardless of the metal finish, the performance will be the most important part. Come on warm weather.
