    Sean,
I'm curious if any of your demos were from behind the boat? As a former Malibu owner I can tell you the stock G wave may not look as big, but the push is unreal!

My demos were all from behind the boat, the conditions weren't great and the wind was crazy so it could have affected the G21 demo but the 23 wasn't great either compared to the MXZ wave. I'm hoping the G can get better with more weight as the boat is far superior to the Malibu.

I can tell you the Malibu surfgate wave is huge at 10-11mph.

i want to surf at 11.5- 12. The G23 is A+ at those speeds.

I'm curious about your comment about wanting to surf at 11.5-12. How come? I get adjusting the speed to get the right wave, but do you feel there is an advantage to your surfing at that speed?

For larger guys over 200lbs it's all about water pressure under the board. Increased speed = increased water pressure = more freedom up and down and away from the wave. A slow 1.5 wave has a 1-2ft sweet spot. Venture out of it and you'll lose the wave.

Thank you for that. That explanation makes sense.

Sorry... a slow 10.5mph wave looks huge and tall... but it'll have a tiny rideable spot for a heavier guy.

get a knee high 11.5-12mph x 10ft long wave? The entire length will be rideable for a 250lb guy.

most of the wakesurf pros are 130-170lb 20-25yr dudes. There's a reason for that.

How do I set up my 2016 G23 to get this wave?

                    Full OEM 2850 ballast.

                    11.6 to 11.8mph

                    +1100lbs in the surfside trunk

                    +500lbs in the other trunk.

                    +300lbs+ in the bow

                    NCRS 3-4 -play with this

surf vert 2-4-- play with this

most folks sitting surf side-- play with this, perhaps also in the bow

                      So:

Add from stock: +1100lbs in the surf side trunk

Add from stock: +500lbs in the other trunk.

Add from stock: +300lbs+ in the bow

(How best to accomplish above? (Exact brands, means, methods, etc.)

NCRS 3-4 -play with this [Their setting is 5--which is zero adjustment down on this wave plate--dial down to 3 or 4?]

surf vert 2-4-- play with this: Now called NSS on 2016 and their setting is 0--which has the non-surf side tabs fully retracted or 'neutral' position; you're saying play with sticking it out to 2-4; 5 being all the way out.

                      Do I have it right?

                      Thanks...
