The Nautique documentation I've seen says 2.8.1 and has a link for that version. I wasn't able to get that downloaded onto my iPhone--couldn't make it work. However, I successfully got both Pebbles to upgraded to version 2.9.1 and the Old Pebble app onto my iPhone. In trying to put the Nautique NSS Pebble app into the Pebble app "locker" on the iPhone--it won't work; just keep getting the three spinning dots. I've tried this on my iPhone and my wife's iPhone--same thing on both; three spinning dots that go on and on. Even tried opening a second Pebble account in her name (as someone here also previously mentioned that they ended up needing to do that.)

Seems like from the experiences of others on here that I'm at the point that I need to get the Pebble app on a Droid and then try get the Nautique NSS Pebble app onto the watch(es) that way.

In the description of the Nautique NSS App on the Old Pebble iPhone app there is a note at the end that reads "***If your Nautique boat is equipped with a Surf Select 1.0 module do not update your Pebble to anything newer than firmware v2.9.1 as this will cause connectivity issues***"

Based on that--seems like the 2016s should work with that version of the firmware.

Wondering if anyone can verify that they've made it work on a 2016 with v2.9.1?

    Thanks.

I apple-O-gize if this is poor etiquette, but trying to bump this back to the top to see if any one can verify this for me.

As stated above--I now have both Pebbles with 2.9.1 on them. Can I simply find someone with a droid to get the "old" Pebble app on their phone for me; get the Nautique NSS Pebble app into that; and then load it onto the watches? Then theoretically have success?

      Thanks!

Johnny_Rock I'm at the same stand still until I have access to an android to attempt to get the NSS app loaded onto the watch.

Someone should buy up a few of the $30 Pebbles and preload the NSS app on them then sell them for $60. I would buy!

I don't know too many people w androids that I'm comfortable enough to ask them to do it for me; so I'm hoping someone can verify that it will work before I start asking around...

Im just ordering the 2017 G23 should I opt out the "Surf Select with The Surf Switch (Pebble Watch Compatibility)" option then? Since theres not point having it without the Pebble Watch...

Possible to have Apple Watch or Fitbit to work with the LINC system?

Well it depends. You can still get a Pebble Watch. The problem is the lack of support. There is no more technical support from Pebble so we're on our own.

Nautique is "working on something" that will replace it. Nobody is saying what that is just yet.

Keep in mind that with the Surf Select option, you still get the NSS Remote. It's one button that switches the surf side.

I guess I will just go to ebay and buy a few Pebble Watch for spares...

Is this option basically a bluetooth interface with the LINC?

Yep, that's exactly what it is. It seems to work fine. I bought a Pebble off eBay for $30 figuring at that price I wouldn't be out much if it didn't work.

If it is bluetooth thats still some hope for a Apple Watch solution in the future!

Unlikely. The Apple watch is all touchscreen which doesn't work well with wet fingers. Nautique went with Pebble originally due to the hard buttons.

                        etang.....absolutely not!!!,

The nautique surf switch still works great. It hase nothing to do with the pebble or its app. And, I think MOST owners are taking advantage of using a pebble as well.

I did exactly the same thing. I purchased 3 Pebble watches so I would have several for backups. Figured since I just got a new G23 2017 that within the first several weeks of the new season, one of the watches will end up on the bottom of the lake after only a few sets behind the boat

I did have success getting the 'old' Pebble app on my friend's Android phone and then the Pebble NSS app onto the watch...
