^^^^^ these aspects are more important IMO than boat performance when comparing G21/23.
We're all day sat/sun with an easy 4-6 people. This year with our work schedules we will be out Friday afternoons as well. Also I love the in floor cooler idea. Right now I have a huge yeti taking up the entire floor of my Axis T23

The G21 is a great boat even compared to the 23. It just depends on what you want from your boat and how much time you want to spend dialing in the settings.

I choose the 21 for 2 main reasons the wakeboard wake and the fact is close to a 1000lbs lighter on the trailer. The weight does not seem like much but it kept me from upgrading my tow vehicle. The stock wakeboard wake even compared to the 23 IMO is better. The 23 has more potential with extra sacks but the 21 was just better straight off the trailer.

The compromise. The surf wake is better on the 23 off the trailer and is better with weight. I am perfectly happy with the surf wake but the regular side is tricky to get setup and the wake in general is much steeper than the 23. Going down to the 21 you lose a few things the cooler is one and the drivers side glove box on the models that have it. With only a year into the 21 I am still convinced I can get the regular side wave figured out to my liking I just have not put much effort into it yet.

We keep 5 adults and 2 kids on the boat during the summer with no issues. We are 9-12 4-9 people. 1-3 sucks in Texas and after everyone leaves at 6 is money.

Good luck with you boat search.
