Please help on value of 2001 Nautique....

Going to look at this boat tomorrow. Think the asking price is high but same owner for 15 years and he describes it to be very clean. Assuming it checks out, what is one of these worth these days? I'm thinking $18-20k but can't find any data points.

    Thanks for help.

It's worth what someone will pay for it. I have pretty much the exact same boat and was planning on listing it this spring. If the boat is clean and checks out I'd say you are doing fine at $18-20k

He's asking $22,500 which is right where this boat should be given the condition. It's in really, really great shape.

I sold my 1999 Air Nautique for just under $20,000 and it was in perfect condition too.

If you can get this boat for $20,000 you should consider yourself lucky.

I am with the rest. I believe someone would pay 22,000 for that boat if it is in the near showroom condition that he describes . I can tell you the tower and teak are signs the boat has. been taken care of. Powder coated and updated and freshly oiled teak. Pics look outstanding. Wonder if that's water or an oil stain in front of engine box. At 200 and change the boat is barely broken in . Trailer looks good. Also sitting on a tandem not something you normally see for the d-drive Air .

I dont think anyone paying 22,000 for that boat assuming again it's near showroom as described, would be getting taken for a ride. 18-20 is more the solid going rate for sure and I would t be afraid to start there offer wise, but if he doesn't budge or holds strong 22,000 is still fair for a boat of that caliber. Is it s premium price at 22,000 for sure. I would be driving right now to check that out tho or purring a deposit on it . Because it may disappear quick

I appreciate the comments so far. Like I said, I just haven't seen many similar boats for comparison. Anxious to check it out.

flair - pics and details on your boat? what are you asking? where in WI? I spend a lot of time on the Chain 'O Lakes near Waupacca.

Looks awesome to me, swim plate looks mint!! As does most of the boat apart from the carpet stain. I'm a little dubious about the hours, I guess the owner spent more time cleaning and maintaining his boat than riding behind it!! If you get a good feeling about the boat, how it's been taken care of, then I think you're off to the lake!! Only thing this one is missing (or I didn't see it) is a bimini.

Yeah -can't tell if the carpet is stained or if it was just wet in the pic. Carpet can be replaced. Agree that a bimini would be nice but that can be added later too if we decide we need it.

                Here is a good comparison:

                https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/boa/6021186301.html

Calling BS on the hours, when that gauge was replaced hours went back to zero unless the guy actually went thru the process of adding the hours to the new gauge. Do yourself a favor and download the perfect pass instructions from their website on how to view the hours on that gauge, will give you a data point to compare, if PP was there since new the PP hours "should" be true.

One of our forum members and a good friend of mine looked at that boat and said it was pretty rough inside and out.

The boat Quinner posted notvthe ops boat

Quinner brings up valid point, but I have come across plenty of boats that people just don't use all that much. So a 200 and change hour boat isntbout of the question.

That's the boat I was referring to.

I don't think 273 hours is impossible. I have never put that many hours on my boats during my ownership. But obviously it is worth trying to verify and I intend to ask the seller and will investigate myself.

If you are willing to come to AZ.

It's not mine and I've never seen it in person.

THats good find Rauser. Another what appears to be very clean boat. Yet a display of why red as a binini color is a terrible idea , The fade on red is terrible. Slap a black boot on that and it will really complete the look.

The bimini on that 2000 in AZ is so high can't imagine it provides much shade other then at noon, lol. That boat is NOT a Pro Air as the ad indicates, looks like no stock ballast and has a h/c water shower or at least the valves for one. Those shorelander trailers are pretty low budget.

Any 2000 thru 2002 the hours are questionable if the gauges have been replaced as most have, the AZ boat ad says 380hrs pic of gauge shows 154??

This is a fair comparison. I purchased this at the end of September 2016 with only 154 hr. on it. It is a 1999. It is like new, it had been listed for $25,000. I paid $17,000 for it and felt it was an amazing deal. I had to travel a 1100 miles round trip to pick it up. It came with a bit of gear including a boom. The one you are looking at I hope is behind your truck already as it won't last long. The one you are looking at has a few more options and should cost more, but not much $18,000 -$18,500 would be a screaming deal. I felt extremely lucky that the previous owner of my boat ordered the boat the exact way I would have.
