I sold my 06 220 TE last fall and I am back in the market for another boat. I'm looking for some input on differences between 210 and 230's. I would say that I surf 70% of the time and wakeboard 30%. I'm looking to stay under 60k.

Sounds like a 230 for you. The 210 is more a peaky wake for wakeboarding and it is adequate for surfing. Other way around for the 230. More "launchy" than "peaky" wakeboard wake and a longer surfable wave for wakesurfing.

I obviously own the 210. If you were 70 percent wakeboarding 30 surf. I would go 210. Seeing as how it's reversed I would go 230 all day long. You can either add a "suck gate" or go full out and add NSS even to a pre 2012.

Got a chance to wakeboard behind the 230 this past weekend, water was till pretty cold so I didn't get a chance to surf or really tinker with the wake setup. However, from what I felt the wake was very similar to the 220. Overall the hull is a similar design with the "batwing" step ins on the side which shape the wake when surfing, but pretty flat when the boat is on plane during wakeboarding.
The Hydrogate seemed to have a bigger affect than on the 220, hardly ever used it but really enjoyed the result on the 230 . I think because of the wider beam the rooster forms further back thus a narrower wake based on line length. I rode around 73' on the 220 and might step it back to 75-76'.

everything you've said tells me 230... except for your budget- meaning at 60k you'll likely get more/newer 210 or an older 230, so long as you're okay with that, I'd go 230. I think it would be hard to downsize from a 220 to a 210- unless your crew has gotten smaller. Both are great boats, good luck
