Why? The 210 is the flagship boat and frankly our family loves them as well as many others. and good luck buying a G for 78K with a trailer .
I say buy it . Its a great deal and you will love it
My thoughts exactly. It's funny on here how most members who can't even ride to the ability of a 210 say everyone needs a GS or a G. This boat is $35-$40k less than what I have been told a GS20 is selling for in our market, which would be a huge reason not to take his money and buy a GS, because his money for this boat won't sniff buying a GS.
Base price 2017 210 $94,046, Base price 2017 GS20 $95,907 = $1861 Difference MSRP. I wasn't trying to rip on the 210, I'm buying one! But my budget is half the OP's and the 210 is not Nautique's flagship model anymore. If I was buying new, I would want the latest and greatest model for RESALE. Just like cedarcreek216 said, everyone wants a G or GS.

Can't win for losing . I agree to disagree . Leave it at that .

I'm coming from a POS 1990 Citation. I'd never owned a boat before and we had just bought our cabin. For $2,000 it fell into my lap and it did the job for 3 summers. So needless to say the 210 will be a huge upgrade. All I'm looking for is something that can be surfed with the push of a button, then pull the smaller kids around in the tube. I was looking at cheaper options (Tigé R20 or the like) but I like nice things and the dealer on our lake sells Nautiques. If it coasts me $1500-$2000 a year more, in depreciation, to have a nicer boat, so be it.
I don't need a G/GS or probably even a 210 but I know I will not be happy in a year or two if I get something cheaper. I hate the upgrade game.

Thanks again for all the input.
I think that sounds like a great deal on a great boat. The 210 will be a great boat for you and the fact that the Nautique dealer is on your home lake I think its a no brainer as long as you like the colors of the boat.

Obviously, compared to what other people have paid for a 210, the boats a good buy. I don't really disagree with that, but I didn't really care for everyone jumping on board to tell the OP to buy the boat so quick. No one even asked him what he was going to use it for. $80K buys you a lot of options.
To the OP: Do yourself a favor and test drive a few boats and educate yourself before jumping into something. If you are basically only surfing, the 230 may be a better option for you. You don't necessary have to buy a brand new boat. Nautique is quality that lasts a long time. Centurion (owned by Nautique) makes really nice wakesurfing boats too. Cobalt and Chaparral make some nice io's that may be a better family boat for you that can also be surfed behind now. That 210 is a great boat and a great price but is not a once-in-a-lifetime deal. There is a ton of 2016 210s on boattrader right now if you miss out on this one. Best wishes on your boat search.
He asked the question about PRICE, "Does anyone know how much room he's got left on this? Should I be trying to beat him up a little more? I know my way around a car dealership and invoice but this will be my first new boat purchase.", excuse you all for answering his question. LOL!
We basically did the same thing. Bot a leftover 14' in 15'. I think we got it down to $74. You got a little room left. Just depends on how much he wants to go. Shoot a number and see if he bites.

I know, right. It's like telling someone shopping for a Chevy to go buy a Porsche because it does more. Well no joke it does more, you also have to pay for being able to do more.
OP asked about the deal and we all chimed in on the deal, not suggesting alternates to the deal, novel concept these days.

I got a similar deal on a left over 2014 model 210 (loaded), got them down to 81k with trailer. That's definitely a great deal and you will LOVE that boat for surfing. I've had 2 of them, 2nd one with surf system and it makes such a difference.
Let us know how the negotiations went, even if they didn't come down any I think you'll be getting a great deal!
I was able to get them done to 75,000 and they did a killer deal on the hoist.
The boat doesn't have a Bimini. Anyone have a recommendation for where find a nice one?
