I took a GS22 out last night for a test run. It's too cold (for me) to get in the water, so I did not try the Triple sports, but it's a great boat. Handles great and the wave size and shape looks great for both surfing and wake boarding. BUT....
The storage capacity is terrible compared to a G. I understand the size differences of the G and GS...no need to school me on that, but I was still surprised how little storage space there is on a GS22. I currently have a 2008 230 and my objectives are a minor size upgrade (for passengers), a storage upgrade and of course an all around technology upgrade for wake boarding and surfing (we don't ski much). The G23 is my target boat, but between Cost and weight (I tow everywhere I go) I was optimistic that the GS would be a great compromise.
I was also disappointed the GS 22 did not have hinged access on the front compartments. If I am going to drop that kind of cash, the hinged compartments are a must for me!
Don't get me wrong...it's really an awesome boat and anyone that buys one will absolutely love it. It's just not the upgrade I, personally, am looking for.
Hmmm....time to find some more cash and figure out how a Toyota Sequoia can tow a G23....I really don't want to buy a new boat and a new truck!
