Thanks for all the feedback - it is much appreciated.

xxrb2010 - The G21 is an option, but I typically have a crowd. My kids like to bring friends and I love hosting them all. My dream would be a G25 for this reason, but there is no way for lots of reasons. I'm going to consider both, ultimately.

Schwiiing - You are right...I forgot about the rear hatch situation in my sister's 230. I guess I was loving the hinges on the interior compartments so much that I forgot about that! Ha

kodiak - Yes - I'm looking at aftermarket bags too.

@RTSDC - Why is everyone hating on the EOH? Did they not think the "value" was there or would they not be as "good" as surge? I'm an Engineer and when I think about the dynamics of the situation, it just makes sense to me to have EOH instead of Surge. Again, money aside (not that I have so much I can do this) - why not EOH? And let's not talk maintenance issues either...just strictly towing dynamics and safety...EOH or Surge?

Again - thanks for the effort and thoughts.

I wanted the EOH, my GMC has the built in breaking system, so why not use it.
I say if you want the security of EOH then do it. For me though, the extra expense would have been unnecessary.

My '08 230 on a Boatmate trailer (18" wheels) weighed 6200 on a CAT scale, I would guestimate it had about 17-20 gallons of gas and not much else on board. I don't know what a G23 would weigh on a dual axle trailer, but probably close to 8000? Nautique calls it 5900 dry, and they stated 4300 for an '08 230 at the time. So plus 1600 puts it right at 8000.
Should be "ok" with a Sequoia, but I would beef up the brakes and either auxiliary air bags, and maybe a weight distribution hitch? If you do the WD hitch, it may eliminate the need for the air bags. The WD hitch may help a bit with the shorter wheelbase of the Sequoia compared to a 4 door pickup...
Agree with your assessment on the storage, the G boats are WAY ahead due to the depth of the hull, and the skeleton hull construction/reinforcement compared to a foam stringer boat.
          First world problems!

Couple of thoughts...the GS series does seem to be shallower than the G. I am sure that the under floor ballast tank configuration makes it somewhat impossible to make that storage deeper. That was a concern of mine as well. Not that my VTX had super deep storage, but comparable Mastercraft boats have very deep locker storage. I am hoping that for our trips to Norris/Cumberland this doesnt become an issue.

My RAM 2500 is plenty big for towing and it did just fine with the Boatmate under my Malibu with Surge brakes. I do have the built in controller adn I do like trailers with the electric brakes. Does anyone know how much that option is for Boatmate? I may have to get that added quickly.

GS is noticeably shallower than a G. Get in them side by side and its very obvious.

Here are a few options of things you could order and possibly install yourself. You may need to get a new non surge hitch from BoatMate or simply weld it so it doesn't slide any longer.

When I had the EOH quoted from Boatmate, it was a $1200 adder...I think.
