Red Metal Flake

Does anyone have any good pics of the red metal flake? I'm wondering from the pics I've seen if it is more of a deep blood red or if that's just the pics not doing justice. I would like my boat being ordered to be a bright "fire engine" red, not maroon. I hope the flake is brighter in person. Thoughts? Photos?

If you look at the picture of the back of the boat, you can see the red metal flake right up against the non-metal flake red of the interior deck and compare the colors there.

I've got your back. Pictures tend to make it look darker, but it is not a Viper or Fire engine red, either. I think that the metal flake from Nautique is not as bright as it could be, but I like it a ton.

I would do the same color again. I don't particularly like how my tower and the boat are 2 different colors of red (now that I told you, it will bother you too), so I would go with a white or black tower. I like Lake Mabel's a lot with a black accent on it. Isn't that a 2015? That will also make the red pop a little brighter. So I would consider a black accent, but I think the 2016 patterns did not put the accent stripe where I would like it to be.

The metal flake it too much fun to just go to a straight red color. I do get tons of compliments, so I know other people like it too. Mostly, it does make me smile every time I see it.

I had noticed the tower difference on other photos I had seen. I was pretty sure I was going to go with white tower, accent and swim deck. Then do red metal front and main stripe and black hull.

Yes, we got this boat a month ago, 2015 with a 409. Traded in our 2009 X Star LY6 that was also red/black/white. What an upgrade!

Our hull is white, black accents including the platform. Tower is white, had a rear bimini extension added for my wife and two year old. Only things I'm not too fond of are the board rack bungees but money, and the willingness to spend it, can solve that. I added 250lbs of Leadwake bags to the port side for prop torque and it steers perfect now.

Bugs yes, dirt no. Similar to a black truck, the white tower seems to hide dirt better than the black tower. My 2015 had a white tower, and my Malibu before that had a black Titan 3. Bugs show up better on the white tower, but it seemed like I could also see bugs on my black tower because the wings always seem to be a light color.

I could barely find water spots on my white tower, and they were a bear on the black tower. That by far is the most common enemy of clean on any boat, so I wouldn't hesitate to go with a white tower again.
