    Wakesurfing Protection??

I'm going to be wakesurfing this year and would like to know what you do to protect the back of the boat when the surf board hits it when the rider falls? The rider is very close to the boat and it is nearly impossible to prevent the board from hitting the boat when the rider falls. Any info would be great!!

We had this same problem, especially when we are teaching people how to ride. We put some silicon/epoxy gel on the end. Looks tacky but seems to help. I still cringe every time someone falls off the board and it lunges at my transom.

I'd gun it when it looks like a header is coming.

So does that mean there is nothing out there to protect transom?

You could always check out Gator Grip.

I've seen lots of boats with this on the transom, although I think it's designed more for people standing on the swim platform putting on boards. It would probably work for surfing as long as you had it high enough.

That seems like a permanent fix. Nothing that can be removed seems to be out there. Looks like I need to come up with a product for this!

Wet towel over the transom and touching the platform works great. Especially if someone is sitting on the sundeck. No problems with a lot of surfing last year. A nose guard on the surfboard is also a huge help.

Hmm...like 5 layers of duct tape??? I had to make one of those for my snowblades this year, first day out and me and Onthewater had a nice tangle while playing tackle football down the hill and sheared off one of my tips. The next day, the other one broke off too.
