For the record I contacted Titan/Star One Wake when I purchased my boat regarding the dreaded ( tubing from tower) because my ropes were getting buried in the rooster tail. I have kids, coach hockey and softball so we temd to entertain a lot of lake newbs. Got the green light from them on my stainless. I also found over the many years of tower boats getting newbs up skiing was also easier for them from the tower. Obviously I still slalom from the pylon tho.

Unfortunately I am sitting attached to a Gameready ice machine as I just had shoulder surgery this am at 7. So pics may be a while on my end . I have the lifting rings/transom trailer hooks with my pop up pylon.

Okay, as excuses go, that's a good one. No need to go diving into to your boat just yet Swat.

heres a picture of the guts of the fitting. I'll nail my colours to the mast, I'm pretty sure the fixing method for the pop up is going to be identical.
Interesting that the warning sticker displayed on my boat right next to the lifting/towing eye refers to the hardware as a pylon, not towing eye. So unless the wrong sticker was out on the boat, it would stand to reason that it can also be used for towing. Just a crappy design...

Is it suitable to tow from this point? I have the same popup lifting ring on the back of the boat. I'm trying to get the kids into board sports, but they only tube right now (from the tower).

Absolutely no problem towing with it. Just use a soft shackle so you don’t damage the gelcoat.
