Nautique 211sv vs malibu 23 lsv

Going to look at both these boats here soon, 05 211sv with and want to get an opinion on these. Looking for crossover boat for family of 4 with no expertise in any discipline just a good towing boat with room for an additional 4 at times.

Those are two pretty different boats. I would get test drives on both to get a "feel" for each of them. You might find out pretty quickly which one you prefer. For what you are describing, other boats to consider would be sport/air 216's, super air 210s, 200/220v or even 196s.

23 LSV is a big boat, the 211 isn't nearly as big, it will fit 4 comfortably, and do everything adequately. The ski wake is good-ish, the wakeboard wake and surf wave can be made very, very good with added ballast. There are a ton of threads on here talking about adding ballast to the 211. On the plus side the 211 handles more like a ski boat than a wakeboard boat, it's small enough to maneuver easily but still handles rough water well. The 211 is a solid well built boat.
Where are you looking at the 211?

I had a 211 for 9 years. Its a great boat, but driver plus 4 is pretty much full. Rear seat sucks, and bow is smallish. I sold it for a 230 just because I wanted room. Id go with a newer 210 vs a 211. I really felt like the 211 was just a v-drive tournament boat in size, but it was a great boat.

I agree, but the 2008+ 210s will most likely cost a little more than the 211.
