All of these are great ideas and some may end up as options. It's tough for each manufacturer to come up with the next big thing as these boats are loaded with features and capability.

I'm at a toss up on the transom seats. I like the idea of them, but I also LOVE my ample storage back there! I would def opt for a non-wrap windshield as I am left to trailering and docking my boat a lot by myself and that would make it easier to catch the dock while coming in. CLAMPING RACKS (PTM style, not Triton style) as a factory option please! $4k is just too much to pay out of pocket for clamping racks to add on! And for heaven's sake....get better software integration between the Linc system and the head unit (and possibly ditch the Polk head unit all together)! But these are just my opinions on what they should do.

I don't know why they kept the Polk unit when upgrading to the JL speaker system....Fusion Heads seam to flow well

I assume there is some contractual obligation to continue using the Polk head unit for some amount of time.

Are you sure the boat had it? (It's optional....... idk....) but there isn't anything really to "get it to work". You just put the boat in reverse, and turn the wheel. It's not going to turn like an IO, if that is what you were expecting. They are still an inboard, and steering is pretty lethargic at idle speed. I have run a couple dockstar equipped boats, and the steering in reverse is about as quick as the steering in forward at idle...... not quick. But it definitely worked, and was definitely nice when docking in a tight area with a pretty good wind blowing through. If you want it to really whip around in reverse, add a burst of throttle. Works like a charm.

I can do without steering in reverse just fine....... but I do have to say that it is a pretty cool option, especially with how big these newer boats are getting. No matter how great of a driver you are, higher freeboards and wind can be a PITA sometimes.

I have been driving inboards now for 8 year, and I still can't figure out how to get the back end of the boat to swing to the port side. I have looked for good videos to show me how, but none exist. And I have not been taught by someone in the know. I someone here could give an explanation or a link to a video on how to reverse an inboard going to port, that would be great. It would also be great to learn how to pull up to a dock on the port side.

Easiest way to reverse to the port would be to remove your throttle knob, then replace everything under it with a Nautique

That's because a normal rotation inboard isn't going to swing the stern to port. You should be docking starboard side anyways so that you can see and reach the dock as the driver and use the prop rotation to your advantage. Sometimes that involves doing a 180 first. If you need to dock port side on a boat that pulls right you need to over-steer it coming in then counter steer at the last second to pull the stern away from the dock to come in flat. It's possible, but it takes knowing your boat very well and just the right amount of momentum and someone ready to catch the dock, as it's easy to miss, especially in current or wind.

Regarding stern seats - I'd love them as we have little kids and spend a lot of time sitting on the stern while kids are swimming off the back. Clearly you're not going to use them underway (unless you're an idiot and really want a heavy fine and the potential to toss a passenger in the water.....).

It's kind of cool to go back and re-read these older posts. It was a mere 7-8 months ago that many of us were speculating about possible changes to the G line in 2018. Now here we are..... No transom seats in the G23!

No transom seats on the G's.....but moving closer as they are on the GS series. Also....BINGO....we get a 10,000 dollar driving instructor option. Yay
