My leadwake shipment arrived today. They're REALLY nice! High quality woven nlyon and a very sturdy handle. Nice stuff.

The mailman came into the office for help with the 4 boxes and an older woman stood up said she would help and he said "no not you". Hahah!!

Where I work we used to make these things called impression blocks. We stopped because of the hassle and hazards, but I used the mold and made handles then duct taped some foam to the bottom, and all around. I cut up another and coated it with some plastic dip. Is there any danger or issues that could occur? I've always been a bit afraid they would break through the floor.

There are a number of DIY ghetto options for lead. You can visit your favorite indoor shooting range, and they literally have thousands of pounds of spent lead they clean out regularly. I would then put it in a 3 inch PVC pipe tube and put a strap around it to make it easy to move. Those can be very heavy. Another option is to just melt it down in a very well ventilated area and put the lead into brownie pans. Each brownie pan lead brick will weigh about 55 pounds. I used to have a few of those, and I painted them to minimize my dain bramage from the lead exposure

Tire shops often have a lot of lead weights they use to balance tires laying around. If you are friendly with the manager, he may let you take a few hundred pounds of them home.

They do have nice stuff. Mine came today. The wife says the mailman ask what they are because the guy down the street ordered a lot of them last week! Thanks for the lead!

I got mine this week but not after a back and forth with the PO. Over a week and a half, I got several of the beige cards telling me I had 14 HEAVY boxes and to pick them up at the PO. They essentially were refusing to deliver. Our local PO is a disaster and I don't have the time or patience to stand in line there. On top of that, there is really no reason they can refuse to deliver since the boxes are under 70lbs and meets all the flat rate rules. I finally called the USPS complaint number and filed a case and left a note for my mail carrier reminding them that they have to deliver. Boxes showed up late in the afternoon that day. My son was home and saw the guy lugging all 14 boxes up the door. Called and asked WTH I had ordered. LOL

The bags are great. Can't wait to stash them in my bow and counter weight my prop rotation.
