    Wakesurf 2005 211 sv

looking to weight my 211sv and get a wakeshaper.
Don't want the extra fat sacs on show so suggestions for 1 in each rear locker and one in the centre belly storage.

Also a wakeshaper - not going to make my own so what experience have you had? Pictures would be great thanks!!

Ian, we make what we feel is the best Wakesurf Shaper, and we are a sponsor! www.swellwake.com.

We've tested them all, ours floats and works amazing.

Unfortunately i don't have pics on that exact hull, but you can check out videos and pics on both our Facebook page as well as our youtube channel.

Here's my 2004 211 with a QSWS Wake shaper, two bags in the rear locker at about 85% and the belly tank full. I didn't get a chance to surf behind it but my daughter rode it without a rope no problem. With the '04 I'm fighting the opposite prop rotation as well to surf this side. Money well spent in my opinion.

        Thanks! -
For the fat sacs in the rear lockers - that is where the batteries are - what size do I need to ensure they don't lay all over the batteries or should they not be in there at all with the batteries (its a 211 SV (2005 model)?

It is worth making your own wakeshaper. I have about $25 in mine and took about an hour to make. I have an 01 SAN and it works great. Up to you though if you want to just buy one though.

I ordered the mission delta yesterday. Looking to get the fat sacs now.
Suggestions please on size bearing in mind my comments around the batteries in the rear lockers!
            Thanks!

I can't recall what size they are, my boat is still wrapped up in the shop. I have my batteries mounted in battery boxes, 1 in each rear locker as far forward as they will go so the bags really aren't an issue. I should mention in my previous post, I should have said that I have 1 bag in each rear locker. I have extra bags that I didn't try, I wanted to see what the wake was like with just the basic weight. I'll experiment with the other bags this summer...still waiting for the warm weather here, it's been snowing all week 😡

In my old 211 I put a 750# bag in each locker with the hard tanks removed, with the hard tanks installed I would think you can get a 500# bag in each side. Obviously the port side with the walkthrough will be a little tighter.
The batteries are in the forward part of the lockers, in battery boxes, so a ballast bag won't hurt them at all. The only problem I had was the engine panels with the weight pushing on them, I mounted an aluminum channel on them just to strengthen the whole setup.

                  Thanks for the tips.
The aluminum brace is a good call.
I shall get some on order and try it out :-)
