    New Prop for '05 SV-211 TE

    I got a '05 211 with the ZR6. I am going to start riding with stock + 1,000 Lbs. ballast. Should I change my prop? We don't ski and I don't care about going fast, I just want the getty-up. Also, I would imagine that a lower pitch prop would turn faster at any given speed, so shouldn't that stabilize the speed control some?

    RE: New Prop for

    I just ordered the new 1160, I have a 644 on it now, previously ran a 536 and 380 before that. The 1160 is probably the right call with the ZR6, I expect to be a bit slower than the 644 but I need the top end of the 1160 for barefooting. My 211 has the Excalibur but I have heard they have nearly the same torque for starts.

      This may sound like a really dumb question, but what do the numbers mean?

        1160 = 13.5 x 16 with .135" pitch
        536 = 13.5 x 16 with .105" pitch
        644 = 13.25 x 16 with .105 pitch
        380 = 13.5 x 17.5 with .105 pitch

        I think your ZR6 should came with a 816? Something like 13.5 x 17.5 with .135 pitch but I am not sure. Delta prop or Board it up can answer more questoins.

          Thanks Mikeski. If my boat did come with the 816, is this the best prop for wakeboarding only? Or should I get something that is more torquey and less top-end?

            You might want to try the new 1160? Do you have a spare?

              Nope, no spare, so I guess it's a good time to buy another prop! Just want to make sure I make the right choice.
