If you want a decent slalom wake I would keep your search focused on the 206 or a 98' thru 02' Sport/Air. Tracking on the 206 will be superior, the Sport/Air will be comparable to your 91'. If looking at Sports, 98' bow is a playpen style, 99' + are all true walk thru's. Sport/Air had available ballast tanks (L&R) that adds about 400lbs.

Not really a big slalom guy. I showed skied for awhile when I was younger and now I mainly ski for fun (two ski, wakeboard, barefoot, saucer, etc.) Nothing on the competition level or anything like that. Do you know if the SE models with the analog gauges had the same issues as the team models with the digital gauges? There is a SE 2003 216 with ballast and tower for sale not too far away that looks to be in decent shape.

As far as gauges, 00 thru 02 the teleflex digital gauges were junk, biggest issue there is many boats in that year range that had multiple gauge changes will likely not be showing true engine hours. Digital gauges used 03 thru 06 are not necessarily a problem however some people have had issues with the gateway box which is NLA. Analog gauges used 03 thru 06 have no issues I am aware of, same story with all 07 thru 09 gauges, no issues I am aware of.
