New tower - painted or powdercoated

I have been considering putting the newer 2 post tower on my 08 210. Apparently they normally come unpainted. For those of you with the 2013+ towers, is your tower painted or powder coated? Is this an all aluminum tower? Thanks.

On a g21 you can choose painted or just no paint as the tower comes with a powdercoat form the tower manufacturer. The powdercoat color is the same color than the windshield contour. Hope this help

I emailed nautiqueparts about it. They can order the factory 2013+ Diamondback towers. I got a price for the unfinished tower, but am waiting to hear back on the cost for finishing (if possible). I got the impression that most were painted which is a little surprising to me. I really don't know anything about these towers so if anyone else can shed some light I would appreciate it. It says something on Diamondback's website about steel fixtures. I assumed it was made of all aluminum? If the majority of them are painted and no one has issues I know a good painter, but I would hate to ship unfinished steel to be painted. My preference would be to buy it already powder coated. But I am a little clueless here...

Don't paint. Chips, scratches, filler/bondo bubbles. Seriously.

Powder coat over paint, no question.

Powdercoat, but spend the extra to have them apply a primer layer. Powdercoat is much tougher than paint, but if water gets between it and the material it is covering it will peel in sheets, this is where the primer layer really helps.

I agree with above on peeling...i would paint for sure...way easier to touch up...powder coat is popular....get over it...

I saw the other post about the corrosion on the FCT5, has anyone with the diamondback towers had any problems?
