Two ramp times that stick out in my mind are a guy who just bought his boat but didn't know how to back it down. Kept jackknifing the trailer over and over again. Finally, he dropped the boat trailer wheel over the side. People tried all diffeerent things to help him out, finally they had to call a flatbed tow truck to winch the truck up and out. He had blocked the entire ramp for over an hr trying to figure everything out.

The 2nd one was an early wknd at Berryessa. We decided to hit the "free public" ramp instead of dropping 20 bucks to launch. As we back down we notice a trailer and vehicle parked a bit ascue. After looking over we noticed that the boat had come off of the trailer either on their backing down or pulling out. What we came to figure was they had undone the winch strap hit the breaks and the boat came off of the trailer before hitting the water. Never figured out how they fixed it, we just launched and got out of the way. Never want to get in the way of a family argument. The only words going through our heads were OUCH! It was an older I/O boat.

I wanted to visit there this winter also like you did to check out the rocks....but I forgot, think I have a good idea now, since I have hit them all!
How'd you guess... :???: The dude who hit us was at the RT. 133 launch at the bridge on Lilli though...

We lost a prop there as well, I think everyone has, luck only lasts so long. If you saw the ramp there during the winter you'd never go back there again. The DEP had a $1 mil plan to dredge it out, but I've seen nothing done yet. The only reason we launched this weekend was b/c the water level was very high from the rain, and had no prob surprisingly. Stay close to the dock, but not THAT close, and you should avoid all the rocks until you get to Pocono Point, then it clears up in the channel.
