Replacing Nautique word decal on G23, how hard is it, what are the steps

My G23 Nautique word decal has several letters that were damaged on one side of the boat. I will have replacement letters. Is it a do-it-yourself project to peel off the damaged letters and replace them with the new letters? If so, how hard is it, and what steps are necessary to do it? Any tips and tricks would be great.

I purchased a G23 2017 with black chromax lettering then I decide I wanted white chromax lettering. I did not change them myself on both sides and stern of the boat but got the dealer to do this for me. All the dealer told me is that it took many labor hours to preform and the task took much longer than expected. Getting the adhesive off of the gelcoat was the time consuming part of the process.

It's easy! Warm the letter with a hair dryer (not heat gun!), and it'll peel off. For any residual adhesive, 3M adhesive remover will take it right off.
