Anything you can share? It sounds like if the info is accurate that was removed that there is a new hull in the works and a GS influenced open bow and windshield.
Wow, only 2 general consumers on PN interested enough in a new 200 to post anything?! And Nate set a new pending world slalom record last weekend, and not a word on PN? Pretty disheartening
Surf Fairies are taking over the world Scott, lmao. Another example of the pussification of America, why do something that takes skill, talent and hard work when you have something selfish, easy and obnoxious as an alternative.
200 is due for a makover however sure would be a bummer if it started to look more like one of those ballast ships.

Before I begin, let me say this - I am a skier at heart, my kids ski, my wife skis, our ski boat is a workhorse; but we also like to hang out and enjoy time on the water just doing whatever suits our mood (besides tubing).
This kind of remark is what drives a wedge between different styles of watersports. If you want more people to waterski, make it more welcoming instead of beating down another sport. It seems like we as skiers need to point our fingers less and open our hands more to ask how we can help someone learn to ski. We have made waterskiing such an elitist sport by only doing it on private lakes and being so competitive that we should have line length and speed tattooed on our chest so the other skiers won't have to ask. I have been to countless amateur waterski tournaments and countless wakeboard tournaments - the difference - the wakeboarders are welcoming. Never have I seen a waterskier talking to a stranger and helping them out during a tournament, while wakeboarders are talking about how to do this trick or that trick better always trying to help the other competitors.
If we don't want surf fairies we need to stop being a waterski snobs.
On a completely business side, there are a lot more surfers spending 100K+ to surf than there are skiers spending 75k, if you were trying to capture a market, which one would you target? Those "ballast ships" pay a lot of bills at the factory.
I totally get the marketing aspect, however the G/GS series boats already exist to target them. IMHO, the 200 should be left alone to be what it is...a 3 event boat. I went to the dark side this year, so I guess my opinion doesn't count for much anymore.
I personally would not mind a little more room in the bow and maybe beam if--if--it didn't add weight (which is hard to see how it wouldn't), impact skiing, boat handling, or visibility. I still won't buy a boat with monkey bars, so the tower option is irrelevant to me.
Mike, my experience has been quite the opposite of yours, been skiing for 48 yrs and have never come across these waterski snobs you are referring to, in fact quite the opposite, myself and many of my closest watersports friends have always encouraged and taught all variety's of watersports at any chance we get, this sense of giving I can only credit to my dad and neighbors growing up who did the same for me. Cannot even imagine how many kids/teens/adults I have taught to ski, BF, wakeboard, etc. throughout my life but what I can say is every last one has been great, particularly the sense of accomplishment the student has when they succeed and learn a new skill.
The issue I have with "massive intentional wakes" is it is so obnoxious, to intentionally turn a lake into a tsunami is incredibly selfish with no regard for anyone else around you, as a result it is giving all of towed watersports a bad name, eventually the tree huggers and fisherman will get their way and the resulting restrictions will effect us all. I am a fan of all watersports however not when doing so has such a negative impact on the surroundings.
The concerning wedge that is being driven is not among st the watersports enthusiasts, it is those against them who are using these giant wakes as a rallying cry that more people are listening to that will eventually restrict ALL watersports, not just surfing.
