I have a 2009 SAN 210. Thinking about trading in on newer 210. My dealer is telling me the hull changed in 2014. What characteristics does this change for wakeboarding? surfing? I love my 2009 wake for the narrowness and size.

I believe the main hull change was to improve the surf wake. I have a 2014 and after getting the wakeboarding wake dialed in I love it. Surf seems real good but I just started surfing. I love the walk thru on the sun pad and of course sea deck. The only thing that I have issues with is the lack of a ski pylon(have to hook up on the transom). I still ski and it and enjoy it, however. I was looking at 2008 and above and decided to go with 2014 because I like the changes they made.

I think it was just a small tweak to improve surfing. I hear it makes a big difference surfing with nss pre and post 14. If you don't surf that much it's probably not worth it, imo.

I've had a 2010 and traded in on a 2014, wake boarding wake shape was not very different except that the 14 had the pro ballast, giving it some more size with the tanks all full.
We do about 50/50 between surfing and wake boarding, and the NSS makes a HUGE difference with the surf wave shape/size/customization.
Overall, the 2014 has a more comfortable cockpit/seating and storage areas, the walkthrough to the swim deck is really nice too. You wouldn't regret the upgrade

Farkash what set up have you found best for wakeboarding and surfing? I'm getting it close to dailed in but think there's improvement to be made. Wakeboarding with everything full with pro ballast at 70 feet 23mph. Surf all full(850s plumed in) and around 300 in the bow. 10.4 NSS at 2.
