It's over $1000. All the stuff is included though.
Depending on how much over $1000 it is, it sounds a little high, but not a lot. If they are "renting" you all the equipment like snorkle, and mask, I would say it is way too high. You will want to buy some of this equipment as you won't want to rent it every time you want to dive. Also, if it is a semester class, they might be certifing you for more than just open water diver. That might include deep water, nitrox, plant/animal identification, etc. If it does, it would be a great deal, and you should scrimp and save to do it now.

I thought we were the crazies....

AG4: I've been diving for years. There really isn't any reason to get a BC at this stage. THey're expensive and make traveling a chore. But if you do, don't make the mistake of bbuying a back inflator like I did. THey really are a pain.

I should look into it some more. The equiptment is included in that price, but I think when the course is over all the equiptment has to go back to the school. I'm not sure about masks and stuff.

It's something I've always been interested in, but never wanted to put out the money. Hopefully sometime!

I'm hoping the cold water AND the gas prices will keep the numbers down.

Okay, good one Larry. I know how to vote. I guess I didn't communicate that one very well. I'm going to the Masters, and going canoeing. Yes I'm going to the lake but the 2001 isn't getting wet. Should I vote yes or no. Kinda both wouldn't you think??
If you can't do it in, on, or behind a Nautique..... It just ain't worth doing!

BigBald - Where is this little hideaway lake your talkin about. Im looking forward to being out all weekend in the warm weather. Maybe I can meet up with you one of these times. Are you going to the race on Sunday??? I have the $20 infield tickets, but if its really nice out, I'll be on the boat. Id rather be at a NASCAR race anyways. Cant wait for the Brickyard!!

RE: Re: RE: Lake this weekend/Monday

Spent Friday evening, Saturdary afternoon, and early Monday morning on the water.

Suprisingly, boat traffic didn't become an issue until around 8 this morning.
