    surfing behind an 06 210

is it safe to say that with the new tranny that the better surfing wake is now on the port side? if i ride regular then i will face the wave as it curls. is this correct? everyone talks about the old reverse turning prop and that is is good on the starboard side, so is the port side the best now with the new tranny?

RE: surfing behind an 06 210

Yep.. But people make the mistake of thinking that you can ONLY surf on that side. My friend has an '04 210, and he goes regular port side and does it great...

Starboard side... Never tried the port side.

Here a pic, with just standard ballast and 3 people in the boat (2000 SAN 210).

                I always love a wake debate. Here's my 05 210, starboard ballast, belly + 8 people.

Your wake is certainly "fat" for only 3 people in the boat Laptom.

                Charlie.....

Abun, I promise you... That pic is NOT photoshoped  . I think you see my knee on the far low right of the picture. Just 3 people, all on the far right side of the boat behind each other. All standard ballast filled (also port and belly).

Here are some more pics of the same evening: http://www.tomvanhoek.nl/pictures/th...s.php?album=13
Or some more pics with the same boat: http://www.tomvanhoek.nl/pictures/th...album=6&page=8

I don't know why people need all that ballast. We wakesurf (on starboardside) frequently with only the driver in the boat and the standard ballast. Works perfect with the 210!

Abun, PM me if you don't believe it's a clean picture. I find it a bit offensive to call that pic photoshoped. True, the angle is a bit deceiving (very low), but it's clean!

Edit: O, and the water on that pic and first link is more then 50ft deep. The water from the second link is only 5-10ft deep.

Lake was too busy this past weekend so all we did was surf port side. port ballast with 2 nautique fat sacs (one above the port ballast tank and one aft of the observer seat) with 6 people. Never tried starbord side
