    Why Nautique?

Just out of curiosity, what made you decide to buy a Nautique?

As a fairly recent convert, we were huge Malibu fans. We were actually looking to buy a new Malibu and made the (good) mistake of checking out a G23 last summer. We rode in the entire Malibu lineup, and just could not get over the very apparent difference in engineering and quality between the two. The Malibu's (including the all new 22 MXZ) seemed almost like budget boats in comparison. Funny enough, what really bugged me the most was Malibu's yellow-tinged white vinyl - it looks like white vinyl that has been out in the sun for too long. The upholstery stitching also seems like it is already pulling on boats fresh from the factory. These two things were huge indicators of lesser materials and craftsmanship to me.

Overall, the Nautiques just ooze quality, usability and great features. To this day, I feel that everywhere I look in the boat Nautique has come up with some kind of simple feature that makes the day on the water better in some way. You can tell that they spend a lot of time in their own boats, and then work to constantly improve them.

You do pay a bit of a premium for a Nautique over some of the competing brands, but not always as much as one might think.

Had a 98 air nautique (bought new) until the day we traded it in on a 2015 SAN 230.....the 98 NEVER gave us any problems (was purchased by my parents when I was 14)....now as an adult my first boat purchase was the 2015 which my family was kind enough to donate the 98 air for me to trade in! Now I get to pass on a new boat and new memories to my 5yo and 3yo daughters!

Wake quality and seating were the main reasons I got my 210.

Plus comparing it to a x15 of the same Era it was somewhat cheaper.

Grew up skiing behind a 17' Arrowglass with a 115 Johnson. Dreamed of one day owning a "real" ski boat (Ski Nautique). A couple of friends had them and they didn't know how good they had it. Now I'm on my Nautique #6.

THE BEST wakeboard wake hands down, and quality is second to none.

I was looking for a new family boat since we now had kids. Coming from about all types of boats but mostly hot rod go fast stuff. Dad did have a century that was really cool when I was a kid but other than that no wake boat knowledge. I always thought the 2001 was cool looking. One day while out family boat shopping I ran into Phil at Buxton and the rest is history. 4 boats and several years later it was the Buxton team that sold me. They are great people and make you feel like part of the family. Infact I ran into a gentleman yesterday on the lake with a purple g and we commented on how the Buxton crew really makes the difference. I have demoed and water tested others as well as plenty more friends with different boats. None compare! The fact that Correct Craft is a Christian company that gives back only makes the deal better for us. Im glad to know that some of what I pay on is doing the right thing

And that's my why for a Nautique...

In high school, I worked for the Nautique dealer. We took trade-ins of all kinds. All the trade-ins that weren't Nautiques seemed beat and worn out. The Nautiques were always in better shape. I figured that either the Nautique owners never used their boats and just kept them in the garage and waxed them, or that Nautiques were just built better. We lake tested a lot of those trade-ins and the Nautiques out preformed the rest.

Fast forward 20 years and I was looking to buy our first boat. I was on a budget and I figured a used Nautique was better than a new POS. We found a 2007 236 that is in perfect shape. It has all the options we need for a family of 8, and everything works perfectly. I think my used 2007 will hold up longer and better than any other new boat. The function and form of a Nautique can't be beat.

Wow, talk about parallel stories. I bought my 99 Air Nautique new. Kept it 17 years and finally sold it and bought a 2017 SAN 230...

I grew up waterskiing as a kid. After college I wanted to ski at the national level. I moved to Florida to work and train for three event skiing. In tournaments the Ski Nautique had a more challenging wake for short line slalom. After two MasterCrafts I decided to buy and train behind a Ski Nautique. It greatly improved my tournament slalom skiing performance. Fast forward to today... I have owned 12 inboard boats. I now surf with my wife and kids on our G23. My experience is that Nautique makes the best boat hands down. Ordering our 2018 G23 soon!

I just traded from a 2004 Malibu that I bought new for a 2017 230. My family loved the 'Bu and it will always have a special place with us.

The Nautique seemed more laser focused on being a good tow boat. Water channels to keep storage dry, smoother throttle, easier to use computer interface, etc.

I am also looking forward to working with Buxton Marine. They have been great to work with so far.

My uncle always said how much better the Nautiques were compared to other tournament Inboard boats. Years ago, I was driving past a boat dealership that had this all brown 1979 Ski Nautique for sale. Went back the following weekend, dry started it one time, paid $3600 cash for it and used it for years until my wife and I traded it on our (new at the time) 2003. Other than basic upgrades, maintenance and one bad ignition fuse holder...that boat ran perfect and held up super well. The original Correct Craft trailer didn't have a winch. I never had to winch it on because it never broke down.

I wish I could have kept it when we purchased our 2003.

Is there really any other choice? Lol....
I chose a Ski Nautique in 1987 because I liked the styling. Since then, I have driven Master Crafts, Tige, Ski Supreme, and Malibu. None of them can compare to a Nautique. I have driven newer models than mine, but still love my 2002. If, when, I upgrade it will be a Nautique for sure. It is also a great company with great people. I had the honor of meeting Ralph, Ken, and Greg Meloon multiple times and have the utmost respect for them and the entire family for running the company based on their Christian values. I am glad that Bill Yeargin has continued this tradition. (It also doesn't hurt that my favorite skier of all time, Andy Mapple, was so heavily involved with Correct Craft.) There really is no other choice for my family.
                              Ski on dude!
