seriously Malibu's yellow tinged white vinyl...many nautique have the pink tinged white vinyl...lol...quality is same as mastercraft and Malibu for sure...

I have to agree with person that said wake quality and seating were the reasons to get the 210...

Had a 2009 moomba outback we bought new. Got a 2004 210 team edition and could immediately tell the difference in build quality. The wakeboard wake was the best. Surf wake was not great so we got a 2014 210 with pro ballast and NSS. Haven't looked back. Nautique is the best hands down. I have ridden behind and been in Malibu, mastercraft etc. No comparison.

Mastercraft maybe. Malibu, not even close. I think Malibu used to build a good boat, but if you have spent any time in one of the new ones they seem to be cutting corners in production and have what seems to be less stringent QC (one of the ones we demo'd was missing the finish carpet piece from under the drivers bolster). We demo'd every available 16 and 17 Malibu 21' and over, and our impression was the same in all cases. We found the LSV to be the "cheapest" feeling, That model is due for a pretty big refresh this year I suspect. Of all the Malibus, the new 22 MXZ was the best, but a far cry from the Nautiques.

I think most would agree that you don't often see someone that has owned a Nautique change to another brand of boat. They are just build so well. We have owned a 220 for over 10 year now and it still looks and performs as well as it did 10 years ago We are only just upgrading to a new 2018 G23 now and I can only hope we get another 10+ years of great use from our new boat.

My dream boat was a Malibu. So in 2008, we purchase a 23 LSV. It was such a great boat! I couldn't stop admiring my boat. Then surf gate came out, and I was so envious of getting one of those, even though I'm 90% a wakeboarder. But just knowing I could go surfing at a touch of button was such a huge deal. So last year, I couldn't believe that my wife agreed to me getting a new boat. I went right to a 2015 Malibu 24 MXZ. I missed a couple of them by days. So then I figured, maybe I look at a 2016/2017 23 LSV. After I felt that the local Malibu dealer wasn't treating me well (maybe that's how they treat all prospective customers), I thought, maybe I should see what else is out there. Then I came across the 15-20 minute walk through videos by Adam Wensink. I could not believe all of the features that Nautique built into the G23, when compared to a 23 LSV. Deep walk through transom, under floor cooler, deep storage, standard foam teak flooring, hinged seat cushions, 2,850 lbs of stock ballast, on and on...I thought to myself, Malibu is really a joke. Malibu has severely lost its innovative edge. Even Malibu's flagship M235 did not have as much thought built into it as the G23, yet the M235 is more expensive (I think). The innovations, engineering, build quality, and video walk through made me quickly disregard the Malibu altogether. After being exposed to the Adam Wensink video, I stopped considering the Malibu line. I never even cross shopped the G23 against the Malibu after watching his videos. I am sooo happy I made the switch. What I am rather surprised about is that if you review the earnings report for Malibu, they are having record growth still. That surprises me given that the Nautique boats are hands down superior products in all aspects when compared to the Malibus.

Vacationing at Whitelake. Went to the dealership to look for a good, cheap run around and came out with their entry line boat at the time. Went back a year later and traded up to a Nautique. I bought the boat because of to the dealer.

Because we decided we would buy the best ski boat in our budget. And it so happened to be a super clean and well cared for 92.

Last year I said when we upgrade down the rode it would still be the best boat we could afford.

I'm not so sure about that now, I really really like the Nautique.

Yep. I actually have a dealer that's much, much closer to me than White Lake Marine. Doesn't matter. When I'm looking for a boat, I'm talking to Diane at WLM...

Had something explained to me the other day that made since.

Nautique or Correct Craft is a company of engineers that build boats while the other guys are boat builders that have a couple engineers.

I was in a Chaparral 264 Sunesta. We surfed behind that but couldnt let go of the rope. Everytime we passed a "surf boat" we said we were getting one. Our Chap dealer was also a Supra dealer so we thought it natural. I hated the gunwale.
Our shopping list was narrowed to a 23 footer, pickle fork bow, easy to shape wake. Looked at the Wakesetter 24MXZ, Supra SA and SE & Mastercraft X23. It wasnt until the Mastercraft dealer told me "the guy across the street is my only real competition" and began to rip on the Nautique. So i went to look.

What sold us? Love the location of the G23 ice chest, love the comfort of the seats, the wake is amazing, the sales rep was PHENOMINAL, the walk through on the stern and the location of the sea dek on the back. My wife loved the heater and the kids love the bow.

Got an '89 Ski Nautique new. Ran it until 2008 with no issues and traded it in for a 2008 206 to get the open bow and more room. Not an issue with it since.
                          LOVE the quality.

We are on our 3rd Nautique and overall I can say we have been very happy with everything. Our new G25 has had some issues like the plug not being in all the way on the back key pad to start in so had to be towed in, some of the vinyl turned yellow or pink and had to be replaced and some of the seat cushions were not screwed in properly and the battery charging plug was not set right so they would not charge, S**t happens. What has impressed me has been the dealer has been absolutely great to deal with, they and Nautique seem to me that they will stand behind their product.

                              Quality, service, warranty, and ethics.

military. Owing a Malibu was a miserable train wreck experience. They don't have the QAQC to not be tied to a supportive dealer working off all the issues. I had neither in my Malibu 247-- broke down on the water 3 times, and moving away from home dealer, Jack Springer allows dealers to refuse service at will. 6-8 week repair times--- in the summer for a brand new boat! His CS lead thug Blake Moore as well as his VPs are who executed his unethical policies, they all 100% know what they are doing. Springer has taken an amazing company and flushed the quality down the toilet, and reputation is close behind.

the QAQC on Nautiques absolutely is higher. As I move often the "you didn't buy your boat here" issues are still there, but not to the extent as I saw with Malibu. But the huge difference is Nautique has ethical leadership at the top. If you have an issue, and are not getting a fair shake, they will make it right. I will go with honest folks 1000x before I deal with liars and thieves.

It's funny. Keep hearing about awesome dealers, and I agree the dealer makes a huge difference. My dealer sells Mastercraft and I love them. Super people. I skied the first time in my life when I was 17-18ish but I was hooked. I decided that as soon as I could I'd buy a boat. So when I made more than minimum wage I started looking for an I/O. A friend of the family wanted to sell his inboard so he could get a Nautique. I bought it and was convinced inboards were the way to go for water sports. 3 years later the Nautique dealer convinced me that was the brand to buy. I bought a 3 year old Sport Nautique with 9 hrs on it. 9 relatively trouble free years later I upgrade to a OG 210. 8 yrs after that we get the 230. Every time I shop I look at MC due to my relationship with my current dealer but end up in a Nautique. It's sort of funny, most of my friends have Mastercrafts and they are an awesome group of guys, but I deal with their ribbing. One guy has a OG x-star and honestly the wake is better than my OG 210. It's my favorite wakeboard wake by far.
