    Toe to Heel wakesurf jump

Does anyone have any tips for making the toe to heel side wakesurf jump? I been practicing heel side surfing and but I'm struggling when making the jump. I have a 2013 G23 and we count down from 5 to Jump with the driver pushing the switch at 4 and me making the jump at 0. Settings are NCRS 5 and NSS 3, factory speed. I've made the jump many times with a couple of short heel runs, but most of the time I lose push and bury the nose of the board. I'm making the jump maybe two feel from the swim platform. Does that mean I'm jumping too soon? Does your driver need to help shift the wave with a turn?

I have a 2013 G23 too. I can do it pretty regularly....probably like 3-4 outta 5 tries. You might want to try shooting across at 2 (on your counting thing you do). Your distance from the back of the boat you mentioned is about right. You want to be cutting across the wave at the front of it where it begins to form. That's where it's easiest for me at least. What I do is hold my hand up (usually because the music is to loud to hear any verbal cue) and when I drop my hand my wife pushes the button and then I count to 2 and go. Same thing when going back across.
As I'm moving across I can see the wave beginning to start "crashing" under the board as it's transitioning and then when I get to the other side I have enough momentum to keep me going until the wave forms back up and I feel the push. Only time I fall is I either sink the front of the board or I'm a little late going across and the face of the wave throws my balance off as it forms right underneath me. Keep practicing. You'll get it.

SurfingCane. Great suggestion on the timing. Try three and I made it. Got too cocky getting back.
