Riding Plans this weekend?

I'm super stoked to get out of work today for a big holiday weekend. What are your riding plans?

For us most of our riding crew is back in town for the weekend. We're all in our 30's now and spread out all over but everyone is back at the lake this weekend. Saturday morning we're headed out early with all the boys + significant others for an early set. First time the whole crew has been together in the G! Also will be the most people we've had in the boat (12+) so the wake should be huuuuuge.

Unfortunately for me my wife is driving 8 hours today to pick up a puppy that I don't want and then driving 8 hours back tomorrow. She said we probably shouldn't go to the lake this weekend since it will be the first couple days that we have the puppy at home. Not happy!

Kids have been at a watersports camp all week learning more than I can teach them. Kneeboard, wakeboard and ski. I bought some youth skis and will try to run the whole gamut this weekend. Kids are 9 and 11 and the wife says she's ready to give it a go on skis. First time boat owner and having a blast on my 96 SS. Weather looks perfect and I'll be on the lake all weekend.

I have a friend that wants to do some surfing this weekend, so I'll take him out for a bit. Normally you wouldn't catch me anywhere near a lake on July 4 weekend!

I know what you mean. Normally I avoid the lake on holiday weekends, but I would make an exception to go early in the morning this weekend if I could get my wife on board. 3 of our 4 boys just learned to wakeboard 2 weekends ago so they are excited to go since we couldn't go last weekend because I had to work. I'm really excited to get the boys back on the wakeboard again. It was nice seeing them do something different than riding the tube. It was a great sense of accomplishment for them as well. I was really proud!

Staying far far away. Hitting the lake for some camping on Thursday the 6th - Monday 10th.

Friends are coming in from out of town with kids the same age as ours. With the old boat, we'd never consider taking everyone out on a weekend as busy as this; with the Super Air, it's a definite. I can't wait.

We rode last night in light rain, only because it was dead flat and not a boat in sight. It was great, and the lake won't be that flat again until Wednesday. Even night boat traffic is something on the lake this weekend with all the private fireworks shows that happen. The lake looks more like the cop car pile-up from the Blues Brothers movie most of the weekend, haha.
