Riding Plans this weekend?

You guys that have rain in the summer... That's gotta stink.

June is big for Thunderstorms in the Northeast but they roll through QUICK and it turns the lake into glass and sends all the boats home. We call it the Zamboni.

Serious questions- It doesn't rain in northern cali in the summer? Does that explain the forest fires or droughts?

I have a friend that wants to do some surfing this weekend, so I'll take him out for a bit. Normally you wouldn't catch me anywhere near a lake on July 4 weekend!

Good questions. 1. It might rain in June once every 5-15 years. Definitely rare in our Mediterranean climate. Rain tapers after March/April. 2. Those forest fires get caused by either lightning in high elevations, arson, someone flicking a cigarette out the window or some other accident.

Me neither. It's just too crazy on the lake this weekend. I'm off all next week so we'll surf then.

We may do early morning and late evening runs and find a spot during the day to relax on the water within eye sight of a boat ramp just to see the entertainment. Against better judgement I'm taking my son and his college friends out on Lake Grapevine to see the fireworks on the 4th.

Unfortunately for me my wife is driving 8 hours today to pick up a puppy that I don't want and then driving 8 hours back tomorrow. She said we probably shouldn't go to the lake this weekend since it will be the first couple days that we have the puppy at home. Not happy!

Been there done that 3X over and don't recall liking it even once...lol!

Today will be amateur hour on the lake for sure but Everyone wants to watch fireworks and it's about the kids this weekend anyways so I guess I'll get the tubes out of the barn. Wish me luck

It rained hard last night . Hardly any boats today on nice water ! Had a blast with the kids . Did some surfing as well

I'm on a small lake that is never crowded.....we'll be spending a lot of time on the water. My cousin from France is visiting, taught him to surf yesterday, more surfing and maybe a little wakeboarding today.
