How do I leave the bilge pump on?

I like redundancy when it comes to bilge pumps as for my boat I have the bilge pump connected to battery side of switch to stay on when battery switch is in off position. Too many electronic gadgets these days to slowly drain battery when not used daily like your car. An extra pump with float switch and through hull fitting is cheep insurance under $50.
