By your logic, all the towboat companies suck. Every single one of them. By your standards maybe that is true. I just find it to be an unrealistic expectation. But we are each entitled to our opinions.

As for that being proof of a great dealer network, I disagree. The dealer can stomp their feet all they want but if CC/PCM/Nautique doesn't approve the work then it doesn't happen. I'm not saying they don't have great dealers, they do. But it requires a great company to stand behind their product no questions asked.

      Okay, cool Nautique story.

O5 196 with a ZR 375. This boat is 11 years old, low hours great condition. Anybody familiar with the 196 and the ZR engine knows that there is zero space between the engine oil pan, particularly the quick drain fitting and the hull. The boat develops an oil leak. Because you can't even see the quick drain fitting we took the boat to the dealer who advised us that they would have to pull the engine to repair the suspected lose quick drain fitting. We got a call that the engine stringer on one side had failed and needed extensive repair. The oil pan was literally pressing on the hull which caused the leak. An amazing dealer, WaterCraft Sales in Three Lakes Wisconsin and Nautique got together and sent up a factory technician who repaired the stringer and had the boat back on the water in 3 weeks. I would defy anyone identify which of the stringers was the one that was repaired. Flawless work. The bill for this work on an 11 year old boat? Zero. No questions, haggling, nothing. Just amazing service from a great dealer and a manufacturer who backs up their product with actions not words.
