Anyone near Orlando, FL want to help me out? Or want to sell a Jump Seat?

I'm looking to get a jump seat for to my '03 Super Air and there's one on ebay right now, but it's local pickup only. I messaged the seller to ask about shipping (just in case) but if they wanted to ship it, they would have listed it that way, I get it.

It's listed in Windermere, FL, near Orlando. Anyone want to pick it up and ship it to me?? Clearly I would pay for any time/materials and shipping charges as appropriate.

It's a long shot, but then, finding one of these seats anywhere seems rather difficult to begin with, so I'm willing to pay up.

Happy 4th of July, I hope you all had a great weekend, we sure did.

    Cheers

I just got one today. I paid to have it shipped, but it came in one piece. It looked like a cardboard craft show, but it survived.

I found mine on Craigslist a few hundred miles away from me. This was my lucky third time. The other two times I came across them, they got away.

Good luck and use Google to search.

I have a friend with one, my plan at this point is to borrow that and make a template, then build my own and have it upholstered to match the boat. More work? Definitely. Money saving? No. But it will look sweet, haha.

Hmm thanks for that idea! I'll keep looking around, but building one doesn't seem like the worst idea, either.

I built a rear facing seat for my 210 a couple years back. If I had to do it over, I would make it a little smaller. The one I made has hinges and folds down. PM me if you have questions. Here is the link to the thread. https://www.planetnautique.com/vb5/f...0-san210/page2

Hey thanks! I think the guy eventually sold it via ebay, but if it pops back up I'll definitely message you. Thanks for the offer.

I looked that over, and yeah - I just want to build the little jump seat that goes in the walk-through. I'm thinking I wouldn't need to match the stripe in the existing seat, it doesn't look like it was ever that way from the factory. Probably a lot cheaper and easier just to do solid colors.

I bet you could put it together pretty easily. Have someone send you the measurements. I did everything on mine except the vinyl. Paid a shop to do that. The vinyl and do foam is pretty cheap. Check Amazon or eBay. Probably run 30-50 for each depending on thickness. Plus it's fun to try and do it your self.

Well, exactly - I actually modified one for my old Supra - we found one on eBay that was 90 degrees, not very comfortable like the Nautique one. So I took it all apart and made it slightly reclined, added a storage compartment under it, etc.

I have a friend who does upholstery, so she can do that part easily - foam included - I just need to build the base. Even so, my free time is such that this will quickly become an off-season project. It's too nice out to spend time in my basement!

So after searching around some, and setting a notification from ebay for any new listing with "nautique seat" in the title, I FINALLY got a jump seat for the boat. And as luck would have it, TWO of them came up for sale at the same time. One was the standard one that has straight sides, the other had the curve to match the curve of the observer's seat on my '03 SAN. While a normal one would have worked fine, the curved style will actually fit better with the other seat, rather than leaving a little gap there. As this is usually where my wife sits, I'm happy to have the exact right seat for that spot. Here's hoping it fits perfectly, because I let the other one go. These were the first two I'd seen on ebay since July.

I don't have it in my hands yet, and when I do, I won't have the boat back in my hands until spring. But I'll post a picture when I get it in the boat. I also had the boat professionally buffed and waxed because I have no time or space to do it myself. Kinda painful but I expect it will look amazing. I can't wait! I mean, I love the snow, but finding this seat got me excited again.

I tried several times to upload an image with no success. I guess it will have to wait.
