Clear depth to bottom of rudder 2016-2017 G23

Does anyone know the clear depth to the bottom of rudder for either a 16-17 G23; both with no ballast filled and stock ballast filled 100%?. I'm looking for both measurements .
i was going to take my boat to a coastal area on a trip with some shallow waters.

You also have to take waves and sucking in sand into consideration.
Personally I'd want more than enough room just to be safe.

1.9ft as read on the Linc is with the rudder/prop 0-2" from a firm flat sand bottom. 1.9ft is from the bottom hull. So roughly mid/upper thigh deep for a 6ft man.

3ft is the minimum I'm comfortable allowing the prop to spin in unless I know the bottom very very well.

and even 3ft in unfamiliar waters... it's in gear only for a second at a time. In and out of gear.

3ft on the link is nipple deep on a 6ft man. 1.5-2ft clearance.

with 2850lbs full OEM ballast? Add another 9-12" of draft.

if you're really concerned.... go full belly ballast only and put your passengers in the bow. This lifts the prop and you can sneak thru even less than 1.9ft.

warning-- don't go less than 3ft unless you know the bottom well. Even in 3ft, quickly in and out of gear, very very slow. If you see ~2ft, stop, get out and push!

This was very helpful. Has anyone on the forum driven a G23 across or within Mobile Bay in Al?
