    Things I like (PROS)

1)Fit and Finish-definitely up to Nautique standards. Everything is super functional and makes sense. Seadek in all the right places. The walkthrough is nice. Bigger screen is really cool. Love the reverse camera. The new touches for 2018 look pretty cool too like phone holders all over and more digital media access.

2)Handling-oh baby this thing is like driving an Audi compared to the G. Handles better than my old 23 LSV. Super fun to drive. I miss driving a ski boat like this. The G handles okay but nothing like this boat.

3)Ski wake-for me, as a recreational skier, it was perfect. I suspect you could make it even better with some tweaking. Caution: serious skiers probably will not be overly happy with it. Definitely not at the same level as DD ski boats that I have ridden behind.

4)wakeboard wake-cleaner at lower speeds than the G. Fully loaded the wakeboard wake was very nice. Not as rampy and aggressive as the G. More meaty with less vert. I actually liked it better at my skill level. The G wake is just super aggressive.

    Things I didn't like (CONS)

1)Surf wave-out of the box it just didn't do it for me. The ballast just isn't enough. Push isn't enough. It absolutely needs more weight. I would probably add some bags in the rear and some lead in the bow to even it out. I guess I am spoiled by the G. Ready to rip straight from the factory.

Overall, it is a very nice boat. Solid recreational ski wake, very nice wakeboard wake, and a decent stock surf wave with some potential for improvement. Also, very well designed and fun to drive. Probably not the boat for me but I could see it making many people very happy.
    DocPhil,
nice review. Agree about the handling of the GS- its an awesome experience for a boat of its size. Seems like the GS pros far out weigh your cons. For me the driving experience makes it the boat of choice! Any surf wake snobs in our boat will have to make do but to date we have had zero complaints on the surf wake.

Looks like the Centurion Fi23 might be worth looking at doc?

Wanted to follow up on the surf setup here, this weekend I had a 400lb bag in each rear locker, then another 400lb back in center of seating area, up more towards the drivers seat. NSS 0 and if you can believe it NCRS at 0 (although 1-3 are fun as well), there was no double lip and there was push every spot on the wave. 2 people in the boat, 11.5 - 11.8 mph.

It's been the farthest I've been able to get back behind the boat as well, easily twice as far as before. NSS and NCRS at 5 created a monster wave that was fun to watch but not surf

I've been messing with settings and weight every weekend this season and this by far the best, hands down. I had some beginners and intermediate surfers out that day and all agree. But, hope to keep tweaking next weekend as well, but feel like I finally got this dialed in.

2 personal milestones with this wave, was finally able to do a 360 and switch sides without the rope !!

That's awesome! Cant wait to give that a try. I've got some locker sacs but none for the middle. Perhaps 10 people in the boat will make up for that! Keep us updated on any new findings. Never even thought of trying that low of a setting on the NCRS.

I seem to be having trouble filling and emptying my starboard ballast on my 2019 GS 22. Everything will indicate 0 ballast but the boat still leans to the starboard. I put in on the lift and it continued to drain for what seemed to be a long time with very low flow. Is there anything I should check?

maybe there is an issue with the impeller on the pump for that ballast. I havent had to replace one yet but have heard of people that have.

I agree with above, the first thing I would check is the impeller for that pump. It’s an easy thing to check.
