No one was injured thank God. While driving at Norris this weekend (app 30 mph) I hit a submerged log and damaged the drive shaft, I think the strut, damaged the propeller and tore off the rudder. I also damaged the area around the strut as far as the fiberglass. I can fix everything but the fiberglass. My question is when I have the fiberglass repaired are there certain tolerances for the strut location? The strut is still on the boat, but the back end of the strut was pushed up into the fiberglass. Any help would be much appreciated.

I had that happen two years ago. State farm covered it the final bill was $4000 the strut needed to be replaced and the fiberglass ground out and refilled along with the rudder block,shaft rudder and transmission coupling. My only claim in 25 years. It depends on how much damage you have. get quotes first then call insurance if it is too expensive.
