    230 upgrade to GS22 or GS24?

I'm an owner of 2012 230 with NSS. Primarily use the boat for Surfing (adults) and pulling kids on tubes, ski's, kneeboards and being the family floating swim platform. No wakeboarding. I'm a tournament skier and have access to 196's when I ski the course.

Is the surf wake on a properly setup GS22 better than the wake on my 230 (I run fly high 750's on top of factory ballast)?
Would the GS24 be any better?

I really like the fit and finish of GS22/24 (new tech, seating, auto NCRS, etc) however If I pony up the extra $$ I want a significantly better surf wave. The reviews I've seen are hit and miss on the surf wave, but some of these reviews are inexperienced drivers/riders and others are comparing the GS22 wave to that of sacked out G23 (which is not, in my opinion, a true comparison).

The surf wake on a 230 is hard to beat. If you're to throw another 50k$ to upgrade to a GS, I think you'll be disappointed if it's for surfing purposes only.

Only way you can know is to demo one. Does Nate at Umotors have one you can demo? I'd put money down on the 230 being a much better surf boat.

other than newer, I don't see what a GS offers over a 230.

I stopped by Umotors today and looked a GS20. Sounds like I can demo the GS20, but no 22's. Thanks for the feedback all. I will update after a demo or as more info becomes available.

I can speak to the the stock set up GS22. Although I have Fly High sacs for rear lockers I have not even tried to add to the stock. I have no time behind the 230 so I am no help there but the GS22 has been a blast-- from driving it hours on end to surfing and wakeboarding, I wouldnt give up the sports car handling it has for the surf wake of the G23. It's very manageable. Huge amount of interior space and all is laid out very well. Seems everyone sacks out there boat no matter which model they have. So I guess I'll give it a try.
