How was the show? Do they still do pyramids, barefooting, comedy, clowns in small boats, skiing all the way around the boat...etc..etc? I'm sure they have added a lot since I was a youngster. There was a Tommy Bartletts in Pigeon Forge , TN way back in the 70's/early 80's that we used to go to. Was a great show. Wish it were still here. I always wanted to go down there to work but wasn't quite old enough then. All that's left of the place now are the large of covered stands with the old metal framed seats with wooden bottoms and a shallow dry grassy lake bottom. The whole lake couldn't have been more that 4 feet deep. I have a couple of pics somewhere. Miss those days.
Here are some pics...doesn't look quiet the same and smaller than I remember. I think the small lake actually extended out into where the tree line is now. It surely had to be deeper and the excavators filled it in some. There was a small museum up top in the entry building. Down to the left there was a high wire across the lake that they would ride a bicycle with no tires across. Good times. Sorry to hijack the post. Would love to see pics from your trip bandit628.
