This may not be any news to anyone. Pebble was acquired by FitBit last year, and I doubt we'll get a replacement anytime soon, if at all, but I'm certain it will still work with a 2018. "... whenever Pebble’s servers do shut down, users will still be able to side load apps and new firmware to their smartwatches." - Chaim Gartenberg of The Verge (Technology website) https://www.theverge.com/circuitbrea...te-independent

I plan on snagging one on ebay for $20 to use specifically with the nss on a 2018,... but I'll be sure to give it a go with my buddies pebble first

Please let us know if it works on the 2018. So far, Nautique has said nothing at all about the Pebble and 2018 boats. They only talk about the NSS Remote.

My '17 only clears by about 1"..... might have to back out of the sale on the '17, or start shopping another brand.
I'd love six inches of headroom in my 2016 G. Let's swap towers. My tower is in perfect condition and white and is entirely covered when trailered.

We'll probably find out before I can test it out. I won't be receiving mine till mid August, but I'll be sure to do a write up and answer any questions I'm able to.

If I order an 18, my tower would be Anthracite/Midnight Blue....... But thanks for the offer!

Similar to LakePowellMan I would trade my tower for a taller one. I have hit my head too many times to count... Partially my age! My tower is grey - I am in Seattle.

How tall is the 2017 tower? Does anyone have a clearance measurement from floor to bottom of speakers.

Some more questions on 2018 vs 2017's...

                      - how big of a deal have the 2017 Polk head units been? Is the JL head unit working better on the 2018's?
                      - Do the 2017's have the ability to start and stop a GoPro or is that just on 2018?

My Polk head unit on my G23 hS worked fine even with many folks complaining about it. No the 2017 Linc system.can not synchronize with a GoPro

Here are my thoughts on how to justify the stern thruster that is a 10K option.

                          1. What is the cost to fix the dock rash you just got because you hit it on a windy day?

                          2. How long will it take the shop to fix the gel coat?

                          3. Your wife won’t be intimidated to help put on and off trailer. Haha!

                          4. If you are going to spend 150-160k, what’s an extra 10k?

                          Just my thoughts.

Also for 18, JL did 2-12” subs. Port side is in standard location. Starboard sub is underneath helm. Not visible at all.

We had a 2017 and now a 2018 G23. We have put maybe a dozen hours on our boat and the JL head unit has been solid. No issues with Bluetooth streaming reliability, which is a huge improvement from my 2017.

I like the zone control and how the system “learns” your preferred Min and Max volumes based on where you have the volume set below 7mph and then above 7mph.

It seems like it even does this based on the zone. Like if I am surfing and turn the tower speakers up, then stop to pick up the rider — when we get back going it goes back to the volume I had chosen for the tower speakers while leaving others the same.

2017 had no integration with GoPro. I can tell you that so far the integration stinks. Very unreliable and basically more hassle than it’s worth right now. Hopefully an update will improve things.

I would be unable upgrade to a future G because of the increased height in tower. While boat is on the water, I need to pass under a bridge where I currently have only a few of inches clearance. When lake is high in beginning of the season I actually have to fill ballast to fit under (2017 G).

If I didn’t have the bridge limitation I must admit though it would be nice to have extra headroom. So I guess ideally for my situation they could put the anchor light/awareness camera on a hinge or some like solution.
